This morning I decided to create the opportunity for you to be still, slow down and just “be” versus “doing.” Take five minutes to watch the Rivers of Light music video. Reflect on the two questions below, then meditate on the two verses at the bottom that inspired this composition.
- What is an answer I am looking for today?
- What is a good gift I am desiring?
- Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear – Isaiah 65:24
- Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. – James 1:17
I watched the video on you tube and it says underneath, “pausing to count the blessings in the midst of struggles. I have been trying to find a new job and just got a letter a week after an interview saying they found someone else for the position. I just found out my mom and my sister are going through a lot, lot, lot, up north in Virginia. I am very unhappy at my current job. I spent the afternoon being depressed and crying. I sat in front of the computer and watched Rivers of Light. It is beautiful! It reminded me of the times I have been hiking and seen beautiful streams and rivers and felt so close to God out on those trails. I am so thankful I have God to go to during these struggles! Where would I be without Him? I have a wonderful husband, two wonderful chihuahuas, a house, car, and food on the table. He always provides what I need. I just have to continue to trust Him now and count my blessings! Thank you for your music! You are an inspiration to me and I love your music! May God continue to work through you and bless you!
